Travel experience is a plus. Description: Experience in CVICU is a
plus but not required. Travelers are allowed one call-out per
contract. If there is a second call-out, proper documentation is
required and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Weekly
orientation is provided. This is a community hospital and regional
referral center with 171 beds. It is a certified Chest Pain Center
and has a Trauma Level 3 designation. Local attractions include
outdoor recreation such as fishing, golfing, swimming, and hiking.
There are various local restaurants, breweries, and distilleries in
the area. The scenery includes beautiful mountain ranges paired
with a serene lake. It is near major cities for extended travel
opportunities. Unit Information: The ICU/CVICU has 16 beds. Patient
ratios are 1:2. Equipment used includes Baxter pumps and Medhost
for EHR. The patient population primarily includes adults and
geriatrics. Common diagnoses and treatments in this unit include
STEMI, NSTEMI, COPD exacerbation, sepsis, CABG, valve
repair/replacement, acute respiratory failure, atrial fibrillation,
alcohol withdrawal, head injury, overdose, stroke, trauma, CRRT,
TCAR, and TVAR. Candidates should have a suitable personality fit
for the team. Dress code requires any color scrubs. Unacceptable
attire should be avoided.
