Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC) Location: Havasu Regional Medical Center, Lake Havasu, AZ Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM Assignment Type: Travel Contract Duration: 13 weeks Position Overview: Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu, AZ is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions, bridging the gap between general medical-surgical care and intensive care. This role requires strong clinical skills, adaptability, and the ability to work effectively during night shifts. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver safe and effective nursing care to IMC patients with complex medical needs - Monitor patient conditions, interpret vital signs, and respond to changes promptly - Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans - Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record - Educate patients and families on treatment plans, discharge instructions, and ongoing care needs - Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards Qualifications: - Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona or compact state eligibility - Minimum of 2 years of recent IMC or step-down unit experience preferred - BLS and ACLS certifications required - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills - Proficiency with electronic medical record systems - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts in a travel capacity
