Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Charge Nurse at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you'll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. It's also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations, as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit. - Mentors others in areas such as competency, documentation, equipment use, plan of care, National Patient Safety Goals, and participation in inservice education. - Coaches to improve care Provides direct patient care as appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and department. - Prepares work schedules, assigns personnel. - Coordinates patient flow on the unit to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care - Demonstrates appropriate prioritization and critical thinking skills in critical situations Job Requirements Required - Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty and/or charge nurse experience - AZ RN license - AHA BLS and ACLS - ADN or foreign equivalent. - Skilled Working Knowledge of the EMR and hospital systems.
