GENERAL JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for the
day-to-day operations as defined by policies and procedures
established by the board of directors for the successful management
of Hospice of Havasu. Hospice of Havasu is a not-for-profit,
patient centered team of professionals and volunteers who serve the
physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the incurably ill and
their families. The Executive Director is responsible to carry out
Hospice of Havasu’s mission while having oversight of its Hospice
Program Service Areas, Polidori House-General Inpatient Facility,
and the Resale Store. The Executive Director routinely travels
between all the organization’s offices in Mohave County. This
position carries full supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Ensure that Hospice philosophy of care as

Oversees the functioning, care and nurturing of Hospice of Havasu’s
Human Resources: Collaborates with the Management team to
develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of
systems, processes and personnel design to accommodate the growth
objectives of the agency.
Motivates and leads a high performance management team while
attracting and recruiting qualified employees to support the
mission and goals of HOH.
Creates a succession plan for staff to ensure continuity of
performance of employees for all departments including Volunteer
Services and the Resale Store.
Directs Merit Increase program to be fair and equitable while
maintaining it to budget.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Health Services
Administration or a closely related field plus 5+ year’s
progressive experience. Will consider a Bachelor’s Degree prepared
with extensive applicable experience.
Training Requirements : (Credentials, licenses or
Experience: Five or more years of progressively responsible
related experience in a position of comparable scope and size to

management experience including asset management and managing
