Job Description:
Description ROLE SUMMARY Responsible for developing and
instructing Driver Training Academy’s, EMT-Basic Training
Academy’s, EMT Advanced Training Academy’s, EMT-Paramedic Training
Academy’s and EMT-Paramedic Ventilator & Critical Care Training
Academy’s. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Essential Duties and
Responsibilities: Responsible for developing and instructing Driver
Training Academy programs. Responsible for developing and
instructing EMT-Basic Training Academy programs. Responsible for
developing and instructing EMT-Advanced Training Academy programs.
Responsible for developing and instructing EMT-Paramedic Training
Academy programs. Responsible for developing and instructing
EMT-Paramedic Ventilator Training Academy programs. Responsible for
developing and instructing EMT-Paramedic Critical Care Training
Academy programs. Responsible for developing, scheduling,
monitoring and ensuring high quality field precepting program for
Academy students with field ambulance crews. Responsible for
developing, scheduling, monitoring and ensuring high quality
clinical site precepting program for Academy students with hospital
staff. Demonstrates complete knowledge, understanding and
compliance of company policies and procedures. Ensure security of
buildings, vehicles, equipment, medications and all other company
property. Ensures the security of all company computer systems by
adhering to security procedures and utilizing appropriate passwords
policies. Adheres to Universal Precautions/Body Substance Isolation
when dealing with patient contacts. Is familiar with and practices
the Infection Control policies and procedures of the company.
Accepts responsibility for recertification as a Paramedic and for
other required license’s and certifications as required by company,
local, regional, and state policies, regulations or laws. Maintains
security and privacy of all confidential and proprietary company
information at all times in accordance with company policy. Always
maintains security and privacy of all company and patient
information in accordance HIPPA and all other local, state and
federal regulations. Acts at all times with his/her personal safety
in mind, as well as the safety of others. Reports to assigned
shifts on time, properly groomed in uniform and on time unless the
proper notification has been made. Remains on duty and in proper
uniform until properly relieved. At all times it sets an example of
professionalism and leadership for others to follow. Assures all
company goals, objectives and procedures are followed on a daily
basis. Performs other duties as directed by management. CORE

Excellence -Clearly conveys complex clinical and operational
concepts both verbally and in writing; adapts communication style

confidence and competence. Regulatory & Compliance Awareness -
Understands and applies applicable state EMS education
requirements, accreditation standards (e.g., CAAS where
applicable), and internal policies. Organization & Program
Management - Effectively manages multiple classes, records,
certifications, and deadlines with strong attention to detail.
Technology & LMS Proficiency - Demonstrates proficiency with
learning management systems, virtual training platforms, and
standard business software. Collaboration & Relationship Building -
Works effectively with Operations, Clinical, HR, and field
leadership to align training with workforce and quality goals.
Continuous Improvement Mindset - Uses data, feedback, and outcomes
to refine curriculum and improve learner success and operational
readiness. REPORTING RELATIONSHIP Reports to: Training
Administrator VP of Operations Regional President Coordinates with:
Local Operations Staff FTO’s DQA/QA/QI Director of EMS Academies
Director of Clinical Training WORK ENVIRONMENT & TRAVEL The EMS
Educator operates in a dynamic healthcare and public safety
environment. Work is performed in a combination of office,
classroom, simulation lab, and field settings. The role routinely
involves interaction with students, field personnel, clinical
leadership, and external partners. The position may require:
Extended periods of standing during instruction and skills labs
Occasional lifting and moving of training equipment (typically up
to 25–50 lbs.) Exposure to clinical and field environments
consistent with EMS operations Flexibility to support day, evening,
weekend, or occasional overnight training sessions based on
operational needs Travel Requirements Travel is required to support
field training, new hire orientation, continuing education, and
operational readiness initiatives. Typical travel may range from
local day travel to occasional regional overnight travel, depending
on organizational footprint and training demands. Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS All EMT requirements. Currently licensed
EMT licensed, but Paramedic is preferred. If certified as an EMT,
must be working under a certified Paramedic. You must have strong
problem-solving skills. Must have ability to mentor and supervise
staff. Must be knowledgeable in medical terminology. Must have
solid verbal and written communications skills. Must be proficient
in ambulance patient care field documentation. Must have education
and/or experience in adult education and training. Must have
excellent administrative skills and be very detailed orientated.
Must have strong project management, time management, and
leadership skills. Must have ability to manage competing priorities
in a fast-paced environment. Must have ability to work
independently on a broad variety of projects. Must be punctual and
able to meet deadlines as assigned. Must be proficient with all
Microsoft Office software packages. Minimum of four years’
experience emergency medical services training experience. Must
have certification as EMT and Paramedic Instructor in appropriate
states. (Must Obtain All Within One Year of Hire) Must have
instructor certification for CPR, ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, BTLS, CEVO
(Must Obtain All Within One Year of Hire) Associate or bachelor’s
degree in education or emergency medical services preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS All EMT requirements. The ability to reach,
push and pull. The ability to sit or stand for long periods of
time. The ability to complete all job duties during any and all
hours of the day and night. The ability to use mouse or keyboard to
input data into computer over long periods of time. The ability to
view graphic and text data on multiple computer screens for long
periods of time.
